WHO WE ARE
JAR Productions (Worldwide) was founded in 2024 by Alistair Barron and John Owen-Jones.
The two have enjoyed a fruitful working relationship since 2012 when they first met whilst performing together in Cameron Mackintosh’s 25th Anniversary Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera”.
With a career in the arts spanning over 30 years, John Owen-Jones has extensive experience as a perfomer, appearing in countless shows ranging from Shakespeare to Andrew Lloyd Webber and has performed in iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Carnegie Hall, New York. He continues to regularly work as an actor and concert performer whilst also presenting his own globally popular podcast and running his own production company ‘JOJ Productions’ which co-conceived the concert shows “Three Phantoms and “Voices of the West End” - which have toured the UK, Europe and Japan. He has worked as a director, producer, writer, presenter and voiceover artist. He also has his own record label ‘JOJ Music’ and has released seven albums worldwide, and has licensed his music catalogue to Sony Music Japan. For further info please visit www.johnowenjones.com
Alistair Barron enjoyed an extensive career as an actor in musical theatre, with appearances in The Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Over the last five years he has expanded his experience in the industry by moving away from performing to work behind the scenes at LA-based film photography company Dynamic, traveling the globe to support the production of major film franchises such as Star Wars, Fast & Furious, Mission Impossible and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Alistair is eager to bring the wealth of business experience he has gained in the film industry and apply it to his first love - live theatre.
